Corporate Liquor Gift Ideas: 20 Custom-Label Bottles

By Handled · · 9 min · 21+

The best corporate liquor gift is the one the recipient keeps on the shelf and remembers who sent. A bottle with your company's own name on the label does that better than a gift box of someone else's brand. This guide lists 20 corporate liquor gift ideas, grouped by who is getting the bottle and why, with notes on how each one works with a custom label.

Every idea here is a custom-label, 750ml bottle of real spirit, made by Handled and bottled under your brand. Adults 21 and over only.

What makes a good corporate liquor gift?

A stock bottle with a bow is easy to buy and easy to forget. A good corporate liquor gift has three things going for it:

  • It is personal to the moment. The label can name the year, the deal, the milestone, or the event.
  • It carries your name. A custom label is the bottle's real front label, not a sticker or a sleeve. See white-label vs. custom spirits for the difference.
  • It fits the recipient. Some people want to be handed a bottle. Others are better served by one shipped to their door.

If you want the full picture of how a program works, start at the corporate gifts hub. If you already know you want a bottle with your name on it, see custom-label spirits for your business or our overview of private-label spirits.

Client gift ideas

Client gifts work when they feel earned, not automatic. A custom bottle says the relationship mattered enough to make something with your name on it.

1. The renewal thank-you

Send a bottle when a client renews. The label can carry a short line such as "Thank you for another year" next to your company name. It lands at the moment the client has just said yes to you again.

2. The new-year kickoff bottle

Early in the year, send your top accounts a bottle to mark the start of the work ahead. It is a calmer moment than the year-end rush, when every other vendor is sending something too.

3. The referral thank-you

When a client sends you someone new, a bottle is a better thank-you than a gift card. Hold a few bottles back from a larger program so you can send one whenever a referral comes in.

4. The top-account reserve

For your handful of most important clients, use a label line that speaks to the relationship, such as the year you started working together. Same bottle, more personal message.

5. The vendor and partner thank-you

Not every gift goes to a customer. The agencies, suppliers and partners who make your work possible notice a bottle with your name on it. See client appreciation gifts for how these programs are put together.

One note on clients: check their gift policies before you finalize a list. Some industries and public-sector clients limit gifts or alcohol.

Employee appreciation gift ideas

Employee gifts should feel like a thank-you, not a perk. Pick a spirit the team will actually enjoy, and put the company's name and the reason for the gift on the label. See employee appreciation gifts and employee holiday gifts for more.

6. The work-anniversary bottle

Mark a five-year or ten-year anniversary with a bottle that names the milestone. Because a program can hold bottles in reserve, one bottling can cover anniversaries as they come up through the year.

7. The project-win bottle

After a hard launch or a record quarter, give the team something to open together. The label can name the project or the quarter.

8. The company-wide holiday bottle

One bottle for every person on the team, with your company and the year on the label. Holiday programs take planning, so it helps to start the conversation well ahead of the season you have in mind.

9. The remote-team bottle, shipped to the door

A gift handed out at the office leaves out everyone who is not there. With direct-to-recipient shipping, each person gets the same bottle with the same label at their own address. Shipping depends on eligibility, which we cover below.

10. The retirement bottle

A retirement is a once-in-a-career moment. A label with the person's name or years of service turns the bottle into a keepsake instead of a drink to open that night. See recognition and milestone gifts.

Closing gift ideas

A closing is a natural time for a bottle. The paperwork gets filed, but the bottle stays on the shelf. See closing gifts for the full idea.

11. The home-closing bottle

For real estate teams, lenders and title companies, a bottle with a line such as "Welcome home" is a gift the new owners keep. Your name stays with them long after the keys change hands.

12. The signed-contract bottle

When a deal closes, send the same label to the people across the table and to your own team. Both sides open the same bottle.

13. The next-closing bottle

Closings are not always on a fixed date. Bottle a program once, and hold part of it for the closings that are still ahead.

Event and conference gift ideas

Events are crowded. A custom bottle is a good way to be the one people remember. See events and conferences.

14. The VIP table bottle

Give a bottle to the few people you most want to see again, instead of a bag of swag for everyone. A smaller number of better gifts goes further.

15. The speaker and host gift

Thank the people who spoke, hosted, or made the introductions. The label can name the event and the year.

16. The commemorative event bottle

For a summit, a customer conference, or a launch party, make the bottle part of the event identity. Attendees take home something with the event's name on it.

Anniversary and executive gift ideas

Some gifts are about the company, and some are about a single person. These are two of the most personal uses of a custom label. See company anniversaries.

17. The company-anniversary label

When a company reaches a milestone year, a commemorative label turns it into something clients and employees can hold. Use the founding year, the anniversary number, or a short thank-you line.

18. The executive-to-executive gift

Senior leaders often give a personal gift to peers, board members, or major partners. A bottle with the company's name and a short message reads as considered, not generic.

19. The funding or launch milestone bottle

When a company closes a round, ships a product, or opens a new office, a commemorative bottle gives the team and the people who helped a lasting reminder of the day.

20. The board and advisor bottle

Advisors and board members give their time. A year-end or milestone bottle is a way to say thank you that is more than a card.

Which spirit should you choose?

You choose the spirit, the proof and the profile, and Handled sources it from established distilleries. A few starting points:

  • Bourbon and rye. The most requested corporate gift. See custom whiskey and bourbon.
  • Tequila and agave. A good fit when your list leans toward agave.
  • Vodka and gin. A clear spirit works well for a broad list.
  • Rum. Sourced on request.

Bottles are 750ml, the full-size bottle people keep and share. That is the only size we make.

How big does a gifting program need to be?

For bourbon and rye, programs start at about one barrel, which bottles out to roughly 200 bottles. The spirit is already aged when we source it, so barrel aging is not part of your lead time. One barrel fits a list of 100 or more recipients, with bottles to spare for VIPs, events and referral thank-yous.

For vodka, gin, tequila and rum, program size is confirmed on your quote.

How does shipping work?

You have two options, and many programs use both:

  • Bulk to your company. One delivery to an office or an event venue, and your team hands out the bottles.
  • Direct to each recipient. You upload a list and each person gets a bottle at their own address.

Every bottle is sold and shipped by a licensed retailer partner, which is the merchant of record. Direct shipping is available to most but not all states, and eligibility is confirmed address by address at checkout. An adult 21 or older must be present to sign for each delivery. For the full picture, see how DTC alcohol shipping works and our guide to sending alcohol as a corporate gift.

How far ahead should you plan?

Lead time is 10 to 12 weeks. That covers designing the label, getting your proof approved, filing for federal label approval (a TTB COLA), bottling, and shipping. See what a COLA is and how custom liquor gets made for each stage.

There is no fixed order-by date, because timing depends on your quote, your label, and where the bottles are going. Put your target date on the quote and we will confirm whether it works. The practical advice is to treat a custom bottle as a program you plan for, not one you grab at the last minute. If you are thinking about client thank-yous for early 2027, spring events, or an anniversary later in the year, now is a good time to start the conversation.

Label message ideas

A short line goes a long way. Swap "Your Company" for the name on your label:

  • Thank you · Your Company
  • For the deal · Your Company
  • Five years together · Your Company
  • Welcome home · Your Company
  • With gratitude · Your Company

You approve the proof before anything is filed. Our team handles the required label information. For what has to be on a spirits label, see what goes on a liquor label.

How does Handled work for corporate gifting?

You pick the spirit and the occasion. Handled designs the label with you, files it for federal approval, sources already-aged spirit, bottles it, and ships it through a licensed retailer partner, in bulk or direct to each recipient. Your brand. Your bottle. We handle the rest.

Ready to price a program? Request a quote or email lfd@handledspirits.com. Tell us the occasion, the spirit, how many recipients, where they are, and the date you are aiming for.

Corporate liquor gift FAQ

For bourbon and rye, programs start at about one barrel, roughly 200 bottles. For vodka, gin, tequila and rum, program size is confirmed on the quote.

Can the bottles be shipped to each recipient?
