The program
What does Handled make for companies?
Custom-label spirits. Your company's name and logo on the bottle's front label, on already-aged bourbon, rye, vodka, gin or tequila. Rum and ready-to-pour cocktails can be sourced on request. Every bottle is 750ml.
What's the minimum order?
For bourbon, programs start at about one barrel, roughly 200 bottles. For rye, vodka, gin, tequila and other spirits, program size is confirmed on your quote.
How many bottles are in a barrel?
About 200 bottles at 750ml. The exact count depends on the barrel.
Can we split one barrel across teams or occasions?
Yes. Many companies use one barrel for more than one purpose: most bottles for the employee holiday gift, a set for top clients, and a few held back for events. Tell us the split on your quote.
Can we order more than one barrel?
Yes. Larger programs can scale across barrels and split by region or team.
Is the spirit aged in our barrel after we order?
No. We source spirit that's already aged. Barrel aging isn't part of your lead time.
Do you make the spirit yourselves?
We source finished spirit from established distilleries and bottle it under your label. You choose the spirit, the proof and the profile.
Labels and artwork
What files do you need for our logo?
Vector files (AI, EPS, SVG or PDF) work best. A high-resolution PNG is fine to start.
Do we need to design the label ourselves?
No. Send finished artwork or an idea, and our team designs it. You approve the proof before it's filed.
What is label approval?
Every spirit label sold in the US needs federal approval (a TTB COLA). We file it for you after you approve the proof. More in What Is a COLA?
Is a custom label the same as engraving?
No. Engraving adds your logo to another brand's bottle. A custom label makes your company the brand on the bottle.
Can we order again next year?
Yes. Many companies make a custom bottle a yearly tradition. Write lfd@handledspirits.com to start a repeat program.
Which spirit should we choose?
Bourbon is the most requested corporate gift and the one with a set program size (about one barrel, ~200 bottles). Tequila, gin and vodka suit broad lists. Pick "Help me choose" on the quote and we'll suggest one.
Timing
How long does a corporate gift order take?
Lead times are the same as our creator drops. Our How Custom Liquor Gets Made guide walks through every stage. Put your target date on the quote and we'll tell you if it works.
When should we order holiday gifts?
As early as you can. Holiday programs fill first, and the proof approval and final recipient list both affect your date.

How much do custom-label corporate gifts cost?
Every program is quoted on spirit, label, count and ship mode. We don't publish prices. Request a quote to see yours.
When do we pay?
Corporate gifting is paid upfront, once you approve the quote.

Shipping and eligibility
Can you ship directly to each recipient?
Yes. Upload your recipient list and each bottle ships to its own address. Or ship in bulk to one company address. More on direct-to-recipient
Where can you ship?
Our licensed retailer partners ship to most US states; eligibility is confirmed at checkout.
Who sells and ships the bottles?
A licensed retailer partner is the merchant of record and handles the sale and shipment of every order.
Does someone have to sign?
Yes. An adult 21 or older must be present to sign for every delivery.
Do recipients have to be 21?
Yes. Every recipient must be 21 or older.
